As part of the special Ramadan program “Syahadah”, a 10-episode documentary film dedicated to Uzbekistan is being broadcast on Malaysia’s central television channels.

The series showcases the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, its significant contributions to the development of Islamic civilization, and its unique traditions in decorative and applied arts and crafts. Special attention is given to the country’s modern tourism and transportation infrastructure, which plays a crucial role in attracting international tourists.

The documentary was filmed in 2024 by a creative team from Malaysia’s national broadcaster, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM). Filming took place in Tashkent, as well as Samarkand, Bukhara, Fergana, and Khorezm regions.

The project was initiated by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia with the support of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee. It aims to enhance the country’s image as a key center of Islamic civilization and promote an increase in tourist inflow to Uzbekistan.
