The Turkman village of Zaamin district of Jizzakh region can attract any person with the beauty of its nature.

37 mulberry trees have been preserved here, the age of which is calculated for many centuries: 9 of them have crossed the 500-year mark, 28 are approximately 200 years old. There is no detailed information about who planted them. However, they are the pride of the villagers.

A workshop was organized in the village. It was attended by employees of Jizzakh Regional Department for Ecology and Environmental Protection, members of the Regional Council of the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, veterans and elders of the village.

At the event, information was provided on the work carried out to register and protect trees that are over a hundred years old. In the process of registering trees in Jizzakh region, at the initiative of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Ecology and Environmental Protection, it was revealed that there are 112 such trees in the region: 82 mulberry trees, 23 walnuts, four plane trees, two willows and eastern biota.

All of them have been declared natural heritage by the appropriate decision of the state authorities.
