The elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the Local Councils of People’s Deputies held in Uzbekistan today, October 27, are significant events not only within the country but also abroad.

Thus, 325 Uzbekistan citizens have registered in Azerbaijan, ready to participate in the parliamentary elections. All necessary conditions have been created for their convenience. An election commission headed by the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov is functioning in Baku. In addition, the elections will be observed by the country’s deputies.

Hajibey Heydarli, a member of the board of the Press Council of Azerbaijan, expressed confidence that the elections will be democratic and transparent, which will allow the Uzbekistan people to make an informed choice in favor of the stability and development of their country.
