The signed documents were exchanged following the negotiations.
Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan adopted a Joint Statement. The heads of the ministries and regions of the two countries also exchanged signed documents. 22 documents were signed during the visit, covering almost all areas of multifaceted partnership.
They include a Plan of Practical Measures for Enhancing and Deepening Industrial Cooperation, which provides for the implementation of almost 50 joint projects, an agreement on the establishment of Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan Investment Fund, documents on mutual electricity supplies and cooperation in the construction of hydropower facilities in Kyrgyzstan.
The roadmaps for further enhancing cooperation between Andijan and Osh, Namangan and Jalal-Abad regions, Fergana and Batken, Naryn regions will undoubtedly serve to strengthen interregional cooperation.
The program of cooperation between the foreign ministries, documents in the customs, military and military-technical cooperation, healthcare, agriculture, food security, plant quarantine, education, science and culture were also signed.
