Uzbekistan’s reforms presented to the international community at the UN Headquarters

An international event titled “New Uzbekistan Reforms and the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s state independence, was held at the United Nations Office at Geneva.

According to the Legislative Chamber, the event, attended by representatives of the UN and other international organizations, featured presentations by R. Hakimov, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber, and E. Tulyakov, Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center.

The presentations provided detailed information on the priority areas outlined in the President’s address at the ceremony marking Uzbekistan’s 35th independence anniversary, the seven national programs, and the objectives of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy.

One of the event’s central topics was the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy. The Strategy outlines priorities such as developing human capital, promoting education and healthy lifestyles, transforming the economy through advanced technologies and higher labor productivity, ensuring the rational use of water and natural resources, and strengthening judicial independence and the rule of law. 

In conclusion, the importance of deepening dialogue between Uzbekistan and the international community and of expanding cooperation among parliaments, international organizations, experts, and academic circles was emphasized. It was also noted that the event provided an important platform for discussing Uzbekistan’s path of independent development, the wide-ranging reforms being implemented in New Uzbekistan, and the priority objectives of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy with the international community.
