BRICS+ Open Science Week will take place in Uzbekistan from November 2 to 8, covering all regions of the country for the first time.
The main event will be the 5th International Science 0+ Festival, scheduled for November 7-8 in Tashkent, organizers of the project told TASS.
As part of BRICS+ Open Science Week, events will be held in Nukus, Termez, Andijan, Urgench, Karshi, Namangan, Bukhara, Jizzakh, Fergana, Navoi, Gulistan, Samarkand, and Tashkent.
The program of the 5th International Science 0+ Festival in Tashkent will feature around 70 popular science lectures by leading scientists, interactive exhibitions covering more than 2,000 square meters across 20 venues, space-themed exhibits, workshops, quizzes, and science shows.
The Tashkent Polytechnic Museum will traditionally serve as the main venue. The theme of the 2026 festival is “Your Cosmic Universe”. The event marks the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight, made by Yuri Gagarin in 1961.
Leading scientific and educational institutions from the two countries will take part in Open Science Week.
