Uzbekistan ranks 37th among the most peace-loving countries
Uzbekistan’s positive image on the international stage was confirmed in the latest rating. The country was ranked 37th out of 163 countries in the 2026 Global Peace Index, published by the Institute for Economics and Peace. The country scored 1,726 points.
Uzbekistan improved by 30 positions over a year: moving from 67th place in 2025 to 37th in 2026.
The country ranked highly in the global ranking and is first among Central Asian countries. Kazakhstan ranked 44th, Tajikistan 47th, Kyrgyzstan 61st, and Turkmenistan 66th.
The country’s position at 37th place on the 2026 Global Peace Index is an important measure of its international tourism reputation.
Peace and security in the country foster increased tourism, complemented by the rich historical heritage of Samarkand and Bukhara, the unique atmosphere of Khiva, and Tashkent’s modern outlook.
The rise in global index rankings reaffirms Uzbekistan’s image as a peaceful, secure, and stable country.
