Uzbekistan is the only country in the world that has brought its legislation into line with the requirements of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code
During the 21st Asia/Oceania Intergovernmental Ministerial Meeting and the Regional Symposium for Asia/Oceania in Beijing, organized by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), it was noted that Uzbekistan has become the first and, to date, the only country in the world to have fully aligned national legislation with the requirements of the World Anti-Doping Code 2027.
The Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adham Ikramov, presented the anti-doping reforms implemented in the country and informed about measures to improve anti-doping policy, introduce international standards, and strengthen the principles of fair play in sports.

WADA President Witold Bańka highlighted Uzbekistan’s January events and praised the country’s efforts to improve its national anti-doping system.

International experts stressed that Uzbekistan completed the conformity assessment procedure in February and March.
