Uzbekistan – France: A step toward a new stage of cooperation
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Walid Fouque visited Jizzakh region.
The Ambassador became familiar with the activities of the ADM Jizzakh automotive enterprise, its existing capacities, and investment projects. The advanced technologies being introduced and the measures implemented to increase the volume of export-oriented products aroused particular interest.
At a meeting at the regional Hokimiyat, issues related to expanding bilateral trade and economic ties, as well as modern technological projects in mining and metallurgy, automotive manufacturing, and industrial processing, were discussed. Proposals were put forward to increase the number of enterprises with French participation, establish the transfer of advanced technologies, and strengthen cooperation in training qualified personnel.
Agreements were reached on further partnership in the economic, social, and technological spheres, the intensification of investment ties, and support for projects aimed at achieving tangible results.
Ambassador Walid Fouque also visited higher education institutions and secondary schools in the region, where he familiarized himself with the educational process, the quality of foreign language instruction, and opportunities for international cooperation. This reflects the special attention given to developing ties in the fields of education and culture.
