Uzbekistan and Russia enhance collaboration in sports

The Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sport and the Rugby Union of Russia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Foreign experts, led by Pavel Fedorov, Chairman of the Board and Director General of the Rugby Union of Russia, attended the signing ceremony and commended Uzbekistan’s progress in mass sports, the building of modern complexes, and the athletes’ success on the international stage.

The memorandum outlines that the partnership focuses on key areas such as high-performance sports, rugby management, sports science and medicine, innovative technologies, infrastructure development, and enhancing the clubs’ training programs. This agreement aims to strengthen bilateral sports relations and significantly contribute to training qualified rugby experts in Uzbekistan.
