Uzbekistan and Pakistan expand mutually beneficial cooperation
First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Uzbekistan Ahmed Farooq.
Bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan have been developing rapidly in recent years, and the strategic partnership is reaching a new level.

At the meeting, issues regarding the strengthening of bilateral relations and the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level were discussed, and the role of parliaments in this process was noted.
Special emphasis was placed on expanding interparliamentary dialogue to develop a mutually beneficial partnership. The prospects for cooperation in the trade-investment, transport-logistics, and cultural-humanitarian spheres were also considered.
The parties expressed confidence in strengthening cooperation and in implementing the outlined plans in the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
