Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan: strengthening cooperation
A meeting took place in Bukhara with representatives from the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan’s Parliament.
Views were exchanged on the bilateral relations between the two countries and on the responsibilities of the parliaments in implementing the agreements reached between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The participants discussed issues related to economic cooperation, relations in the agricultural sector, legislative support for socio-economic reforms, and collaboration in digitalization, information technology, culture, humanitarian affairs, and tourism. They also considered ways to enrich interparliamentary cooperation with new content and to facilitate mutual exchange of views in the legislative process.

The parties agreed to establish congressional oversight over the implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of the two states.
