Uzbekistan and India deepen cooperation in critical minerals
The Indian publication "The Economic Times" has published an article on the expansion of cooperation between India and Uzbekistan in the mining sector.
The material notes that the two countries have agreed to deepen their partnership in the fields of geological resources and uranium. The parties also discussed joint opportunities for the exploration and development of critical minerals.
The publication highlighted that the terms of a memorandum of understanding on mining and geological resources have been agreed upon between the countries. Now, ways to expedite the adoption of this document and turn the plan into a concrete project are being considered.
As Sibi George, Secretary (West) of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, stated at a press conference, an exchange of delegations will be established to sign and implement the agreement. The author also emphasizes that the idea of developing joint efforts through a special commission mechanism is being proposed.
"The Economic Times" paid special attention to cooperation in the uranium sector. This area was identified as a new direction for economic ties. The expansion of partnership in agriculture was also noted. Specifically, joint work will be developed in seed production, drip irrigation, horticulture, and the cultivation of crops in saline conditions.
The Indian Council for Agricultural Research and our country's National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture are establishing cooperation in this area.
