The Constitutional Court of Türkiye delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan is ongoing
The visit by the delegation led by the leadership of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye to Uzbekistan continues.
The visit’s program is eventful: in addition to the official meeting of the heads of the constitutional courts of the two countries, the visit includes plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, hold an international roundtable discussion, and participate in official and cultural events in Samarkand and Bukhara.
The visit aims to introduce international best practices into the activities of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including developing a partnership with Türkiye, which has nearly 65 years of experience in this field, and to elevate bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
An official meeting of the delegations led by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirzo Ulugbek Abdusalomov and the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye Kadir Özkaya took place.
Current issues regarding the consistent development of cooperation between the two friendly countries in constitutional justice were comprehensively discussed during the talks.
In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Türkiye.
This agreement aims to strengthen the institutional framework designed to promote in-depth theoretical and practical study of constitutional law, as well as the further development of trusting and friendly relations.
Within the framework of the memorandum, an agreement was reached to elevate cooperation to a qualitatively new level, including through the exchange of opinions and best practices, the expansion of partnership in the judicial and legal fields, and joint research on current issues in constitutional justice.
Priority areas of cooperation have been identified, including the regular exchange of information, scientific publications, court decisions, and other materials in constitutional justice, as well as the organization of joint scientific-practical conferences, workshops, and educational and research programs on issues within the parties’ competence.
