Russian regional governors explore Fergana’s potential
Events have begun in Fergana region as part of the 3rd Meeting of the Council of Regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.
As part of the visit program, the Russian delegation is exploring the region’s major industrial enterprises, promising investment opportunities, and production potential.
Delegations led by Novosibirsk Governor Andrey Travnikov and Krasnoyarsk Governor Mikhail Kotyukov, along with heads and representatives of other Russian regions, ministries and agencies, industry organizations, chambers of commerce and industry, and businesspeople, attended the events.
Khayrullo Bozorov, the Hokim of Fergana region, accompanied the guests. They visited the Crown Ceramic joint venture, located on the territory of the Kokand FEZ branch in Quvasoy.
The guests were briefed on the production process, modern technological lines, and the enterprise’s capacity to manufacture porcelain tiles. The project provides for the annual production of 8 million square meters of products, an output worth 1 trillion UZS, the creation of added value of 665 billion UZS, and product exports worth $35 million.
During the visit, representatives of Russian regions received detailed information on the ongoing investment project, the enterprise’s production capacity, localization level, and export potential.
