President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev departs for Bukhara
The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who is on a state visit to Uzbekistan, departed for Bukhara on August 24.
At Tashkent-Humo International Airport, the distinguished guest was seen off by the Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nuriddin Ismoilov, Hokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umurzakov, and other officials.

On August 23 in Tashkent, high-level discussions and the third meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council took place, co-chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, as part of the scheduled visit program.

The discussions focused on increasing bilateral trade, deepening cooperation among businesses and regions, effectively leveraging opportunities in the transportation and transit sector, and continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The Heads of State also exchanged views on current international and regional issues and discussed cooperation within multilateral structures.
As part of the visit, important projects were launched. A significant package of documents was signed following the talks.
