Our young boxers will compete in the rings of Chita.
Five members of Uzbekistan's junior boxing team will compete for medals at the "Eurasian Dauria Cup" international tournament, which will be held in the Russian city of Chita. The competition, featuring boxers aged 17-18, will include participants from 20 countries.
Members of the Uzbekistan junior national team, coached by Po'latjon Shahbozov, arrived in Chita yesterday to participate in this prestigious tournament.
Today, September 7, ahead of the international tournament which will be held in 13 weight categories, a meeting of the mandate commission and the official weigh-in and draw ceremonies will take place.

In the prestigious competition, which has been organized since 2024, our boxers Odilshoh Halimov (54 kg), Jahongir Zayniddinov (63 kg), Diyorbek Murodilloyev (71 kg), Alixan Shahbozov (75 kg), and Asilbek Abdusamadov (86 kg) will defend our nation's honor in the Chita bouts.

Teams from Angola, Belarus, Brazil, Zambia, Israel, Iran, Cameroon, Kenya, Comoros, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Libya, Mongolia, Namibia, Nigeria, Russia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, South Africa, and Uzbekistan will showcase their skills.
The competition will continue until September 13.
As a reminder, at last year's tournament, which featured representatives from 19 countries, Uzbek junior boxers won 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
