Number of foreign nationals arriving in Uzbekistan for study more than doubles

According to the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 21,042 foreign nationals arrived in Uzbekistan for study in January-June 2026.

This was 11,500 higher than in the corresponding period of 2025, representing a 2.2-fold increase year over year.

The number of foreign nationals arriving in Uzbekistan for study by country was as follows:

Turkmenistan – 9,207 people;

India – 3,723 people;

Tajikistan – 1,915 people;

China – 951 people;

Kyrgyz Republic – 834 people;

Pakistan – 689 people;

Egypt – 603 people;

Republic of Korea – 526 people;

Philippines – 367 people;

United States – 302 people;

other countries – 1,925 people.
