Namangan exports fruits and vegetables to European markets
Turakurgan district in Namangan region is considered a leader in export potential.
This year, the district plans to export products worth $164 million 470 thousand, including fruit and vegetable products worth $28 million.
The fruits are shipped to Russia, European countries, the UAE, Qatar, and CIS countries. The company exported 1,700 tons of cherries, 1,400 tons of apricots, 150 tons of peaches, 150 tons of cherries, 55 tons of strawberries, 440 tons of tomatoes, and 414 tons of garlic. The target figure was $12 million 353 thousand.
Peaches are being harvested in Gold Fresh Fruits LLC’s intensive gardens. The company exported more than 150 tons of cherries and apricots, valued at $380 thousand.
