Mustafa Demirci: “Amir Temur is a great figure who created not only an empire but an entire civilization”

Tashkent hosts the international scientific conference titled “The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Timurid Civilization in World History and Culture”.

Dr. Mustafa Demirci, a professor at Selcuk University in Konya, shared his views on this topic.

“Sometimes a person does not have time to build even one house in his life, but Sahibkiran Amir Temur managed to build an empire”, says Mustafa Demirci. “And he didn’t just create a state. He made it a powerful country. It is important that this process was not limited to military campaigns alone. Amir Temur is a unique personality who has made significant contributions to the development of culture, architecture, and science not only in his country but also worldwide. We can say that he created a full-fledged civilization. There are only a few such personalities in history. That is why it is necessary to conduct in-depth research and a large-scale study of the heritage of Temur and the Timurids”.
