“Melodies of Navruz” unites creative youth
The “Melodies of Navruz” International Music Festival for ensembles and orchestras of polyphonic performance on national instruments has kicked off in Tashkent.
This event has been held annually since 1996 to increase young people’s interest in music and art, promote musical culture among the younger generation, develop polyphonic performances on national instruments in Uzbekistan, search for and support young performers, improve their skills, and encourage them. It also aims to strengthen cultural ties between Central Asian countries, foster friendship and mutual understanding, cultivate love for the Motherland among young people, promote devotion to their country, and support its development in the spirit of patriotism.

This festival is being held for the twelfth time on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, the Youth Affairs Agency, the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan, and the “Sogdiana” Chamber Orchestra of Folk Instruments.
The festival will be held from March 30 to April 1 at the Palace of Youth Creativity.

The regional qualifying stage of the festival, which is attended by more than 700 young people aged 16 to 23, took place on March 11-12, 2026, in Karakalpakstan, the regions, and the city of Tashkent.
Approximately 100 participants from the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States are also taking part in the festival.
