Kristine Faenger: “We look forward to contributing to cooperation that opens new opportunities for young people”
Today, it is increasingly important to develop vocational education that aligns with the needs of the modern labor market and equips young people with high-quality professional knowledge and practical skills. The partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany in this field is strengthening and gaining new significance.
Kristine Faenger, Head of the iMOVE: Training – Made in Germany, representative of Germany’s Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB), participated as a guest in the “Uzbekistan – Germany: 35 Years of Development and Cooperation” project, which was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany. Kristine Faenger congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, emphasizing the cooperation in vocational education, new opportunities for youth, and the potential for further collaboration:
– On behalf of iMOVE: Training – Made in Germany, I would like to extend my warm congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence.
Uzbekistan is gaining increasing attention among German stakeholders in vocational education and training. The country’s young population, its ongoing reform and modernization process, and its strong interest in practice-oriented vocational education create many opportunities for cooperation with German training providers and companies.
iMOVE is an initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMBFSFJ), which recently signed the Joint Declaration on Cooperation in Vocational Education and Training with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
We aim to connect German training providers with international partners and to support sustainable cooperation between training providers, companies, and institutions.
German training providers offer a broad range of expertise and services, including curriculum development, training equipment, training of trainers, certification, digital learning solutions, and preparing skilled workers interested in joining the German labor market.
In Uzbekistan, iMOVE sees particular potential in partnerships that combine vocational training, company-based learning, skills development, and fair, well-prepared mobility pathways.
Recent exchanges, delegation visits, and the first Uzbekistan – Germany Vocational Education Forum have shown the potential for deeper cooperation.
On this special anniversary, we wish the people of Uzbekistan continued success, prosperity, and confidence for the years ahead. We look forward to contributing, together with our partners, to cooperation that opens new opportunities for young people, strengthens vocational education and supports the economic development of both countries.
