Issues of tourism development in the CIS discussed

Deputy Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sanjar Tadjiyev met with the Secretary General of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Dmitriy Kobitskiy.

The parties discussed issues related to tourism development within the Commonwealth.

During the meeting, it was noted that the international tourism forum Travel Hub “Commonwealth” has become an important platform for discussing current industry issues and for presenting the tourism potential of the CIS member states.

The possibility of hosting the forum in Uzbekistan in 2027 was discussed.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy emphasized that within the Assembly’s structure, there is a relevant commission on information policy, culture, tourism, and sport, which is traditionally headed by representatives of Uzbekistan.

During the dialogue, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation, including the participation of the Uzbek side in the online session of Travel Hub “Commonwealth”, which will take place on June 1.
