International collaboration strengthens

First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Komiljon Karimov met with the President of the International Turkic Academy Shahin Mustafayev.

The parties discussed issues of cooperation, Uzbekistan’s full membership in the International Turkic Academy, holding events dedicated to the 630th anniversary of Mirzo Ulugbek’s birth and the 621st anniversary of the mathematician and astronomer Ali Qushchi’s birth.

Komiljon Karimov stressed the rapid development of joint initiatives of the Turkic countries in recent years. He emphasized that the need to enhance cooperation between the countries in education was noted, and common priorities were identified at the 7th Meeting of the Ministers of Education of the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand in June 2023.

The parties noted the importance of intensifying projects related to natural sciences. They agreed that the joint participation of professors in international conferences and symposiums, holding masterclasses, workshops, and lectures with their participation, is essential in integrating science.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue negotiations on holding events dedicated to the mathematician and astronomer Ali Qushchi’s birth.
