Fulfilling international obligations under discussion

Geneva hosted the 117th Session of the UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The Uzbekistan delegation participated in the session.

The combined 13th and 14th periodic reports of Uzbekistan on the implementation of the provisions of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination were considered during the event.

The delegation members provided information on the ongoing consistent reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at ensuring human rights, combating all forms of discrimination, and strengthening interethnic harmony. In particular, special emphasis was placed on improving legislation, strengthening institutional mechanisms, and the results of the measures being implemented.
