Cooperation among the Turkic states in the field of competition development and consumer protection expands
The 3rd meeting of the Heads of Competition Authorities of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Shusha, Azerbaijan.
During the event, the Chairman of the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Khalilillo Turakhodjayev held talks with the heads of the antimonopoly authorities of Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Hungary.
Issues such as protecting consumers’ rights and legitimate interests, strengthening mechanisms for open public dialogue, ensuring fair competition in digital markets, and creating favorable conditions for global digital platforms in national markets were discussed in detail during the meetings.

The parties exchanged views on advanced regulatory approaches to introduce new services and innovative solutions in the digital economy.
Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on developing institutional cooperation. Plans include exchanging data on the application of antimonopoly legislation, conducting joint analytical research and scientific work, and organizing professional and advanced training programs for specialists.
