Ana Brnabić: Uzbekistan is a vital and trustworthy partner in Central Asia
Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabić.
The parties emphasized that in recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia have reached a new level, and the open, trust-based dialogue between the heads of state strengthens bilateral cooperation.
Ms. Narbayeva noted that the agreements reached at the highest level between the countries are yielding practical results, and that interparliamentary dialogue is a key instrument for implementing these agreements.

Ana Brnabić described Uzbekistan as an important and reliable partner in Central Asia and noted with satisfaction the steady development of bilateral relations.
“We highly value Uzbekistan’s foreign policy, which is grounded in mutual respect and friendship”, she stated.
As part of the dialogue, the parties discussed expanding trade and economic ties, intensifying the activities of interparliamentary commissions, and developing interregional cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the importance of making more effective use of existing potential and scaling up mutually beneficial projects.
The parties reached an agreement to intensify interparliamentary dialogue, expand the exchange of delegations, and develop interregional cooperation.
The Chairperson of the Senate invited representatives of the Serbian Parliament to participate in the 12th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, to be held in Samarkand this September.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to foster cooperation between the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Assembly of Serbia.
