Alisher Qayumov – the first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to New Zealand

On April 1, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Singapore, Alisher Qayumov, presented his credentials to the Governor-General of New Zealand, Cindy Kiro, at the Government House in Wellington.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations. Cooperation in political, trade and economic, scientific and educational, and other areas was also considered.

Cindy Kiro praised the broad reforms implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, highlighting progress in modernizing the public administration system, developing civil society, and creating a favorable investment climate.
