A writer from Namangan wins Eurasian International Book Fair
Astana hosted the VI Eurasian International Book Fair.
More than 150 well-known writers and publishers from almost 50 countries in Europe and Asia attended the event.
Publishing houses “Yangi O’zbekiston” and “Yosh Kuch” won prizes. Well-known Namangan writer, member of Uzbekistan Writers Union Isokjon Nishonov presented more than 20 of his books and became the winner among writers.

He was awarded a diploma for his novel “The Conscience of the Nation”, which tells about the great Kazakh educator Abay Kunanbayev. He was also awarded a badge for the novel “The Pass”, which tells about modern heroes and creative work on the pass connecting the Fergana Valley with the capital.
Great interest was shown in the novel “The Afghan Wind”, translated into many languages.
