A new phase of collaboration begins
The green development program, in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has now entered its active phase.
A GIZ delegation traveled to Romitan district in Bukhara region to engage with local officials and partner organizations. They thoroughly reviewed the district’s economic potential, current infrastructure, investment priorities, and challenges related to its overall development.

German experts provided recommendations for the successful implementation of master plans to transform Romitan district into a hub of modern tourism, industry, and services. The main focus areas of the pilot projects include building eco-friendly tourism infrastructure, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, growing the service sector, fostering a favorable business climate, and promoting the adoption of energy-efficient and innovative technologies.

The parties agreed to implement the projects in phases, enhance financial and technical cooperation, and ensure the effective completion of assigned tasks.
