A high-speed electric train now links Urgench and Khiva
A CR200J high–speed electric train, produced by China's CRRC Dalian, has begun operation on the Urgench – Khiva - Urgench route.
The train has six carriages, can carry 415 passengers, and reaches speeds of up to 160 km/h.
The carriages are equipped with modern economy class seats, USB charging ports at each seat, and a climate control system that maintains a comfortable temperature.
There are also designated seats for passengers with disabilities.
The train travels from Urgench to Khiva in only 42 minutes.
