Uzbekistan’s taekwondo athletes compete for awards
The 2026 Chuncheon Korea Open International Taekwondo Championships is underway, with the Uzbekistan national team having already secured three medals.
On the final day, the winners in 8 women’s weight categories will be determined. Seven athletes from Uzbekistan will compete in five weight categories.
In particular, Laylo Khasanova will compete in the -53 kg weight category, Madina Mirabzalova and Shabbona Abduvaliyeva in the -57 kg weight category, and Sevinch Khaitova and Mokhidil Uktamjonova in the -62 kg weight category. Ozoda Sobirjonova will defend Uzbekistan’s honor in the -67 kg weight category, and Iroda Mirtojiyeva in the +73 kg weight category.
