Uzbekistan joins the Statute of IOFS
As part of the ongoing international events in Baku, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, signed a document acceding to the Statute of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS).
The document aims to strengthen food security in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), promote the sustainable development of agriculture, and create a platform for expanding multilateral cooperation.

The activities of the Islamic Organization for Food Security are aimed at pooling the resources of member countries, facilitating the exchange of best practices and technologies, and stimulating investment in the agricultural sector.

This step expands Uzbekistan’s participation in international efforts to address pressing global challenges, including food shortages, the effects of climate change, desertification, and soil salinization.
