Uzbekistan celebrates the Information and Communication Technology Workers Day
Rapid development is taking place in countries that place the primary emphasis on information technology.
Technology is no longer just the internet or software, but an important part of the economy, education, healthcare, security, and public administration.
In recent years, Uzbekistan has also made significant progress in digitalization. The transition of public services to electronic formats, the growing number of IT parks, startups, artificial intelligence projects, data centers, and digital platforms are practical results of these changes. Most importantly, the information technology sector is opening up new opportunities for young people. Many IT professions that were previously considered accessible only abroad are now developing domestically. Professions such as programmers, cybersecurity specialists, graphic designers, and artificial intelligence engineers are becoming the choice for the new generation.
Of course, digital development is determined not only by technology, but also by human capital. Therefore, the need for knowledgeable, proactive, and modern specialists in this field is higher than ever.
May 7 – the Information and Communication Technology Workers Day – is not only a holiday for industry professionals but also a recognition of the work of those shaping the country’s digital future.
