Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea expand cooperation in the field of AI
An international forum titled “The role of artificial intelligence and digitalization in the development of education, energy, and regions” was held at the IT Park in Tashkent.
In their opening remarks, the Deputy Director of the Center for Economic Research and Reforms, Nozimjon Ortiqov, the Vice President of Seoul National University, Dr. Kilkon Ko, and others noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea creates a solid foundation for achieving practical results in the field of artificial intelligence and digitalization.
Within the framework of the event, think tanks from the two countries discussed practical solutions in the areas of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
Particular attention was paid to the resilience of Uzbekistan’s economy to external factors. According to the results of the first quarter of the current year, economic growth amounted to 8.7 percent, indicating the preservation of positive dynamics and the expansion of domestic economic activity.
Within the framework of the forum, the results of research on the introduction of artificial intelligence in education, the use of digital solutions to reduce poverty, regional development, and the modernization of the energy sector were presented.
