Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are deepening their collaboration to combat crime
Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, has met with Rashad Mammadov, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan.
The parties noted the evolving relationship between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, rooted in friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership.
The parties focused on the current situation and potential areas for cooperation between the two countries’ internal affairs agencies. Discussions specifically covered experience sharing in fighting crime, terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, and cybercrime.
The parties highlighted their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in law enforcement and public safety.
Following the meeting, the parties identified potential areas for collaboration. Both parties confirmed their commitment to steadily developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
