Türkiye strengthens air connections with Uzbekistan
Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines is launching regular flights from Istanbul to Bukhara, Andijan and Termez. The airline is also considering introducing services to Karshi and Nukus.
The new flights will create additional opportunities to strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the international tourism market. With the low-cost carrier offering affordable fares, the country is expected to become an even more attractive destination for travelers from Europe and other parts of the world who prefer budget air travel.
Pegasus Airlines operates routes to more than 50 countries, making it easier for international travelers to reach Uzbekistan via Istanbul. The initiative is also expected to encourage stopover tourism, focusing on persuading transit passengers to extend their stays in Uzbekistan and explore the country’s historic cities, cultural heritage and tourist attractions.
