There are 215 higher education institutions in Uzbekistan

According to the National Statistics Committee, 215 higher education institutions were operating in Uzbekistan as of the start of the 2025/2026 academic year.

This is seven fewer than at the start of the previous academic year.

The number of non-state higher education institutions was 97.
