The 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum kicks off
This year’s forum is notable for its impressive figures: the participating companies and financial institutions hold total assets of $42 trillion, representing nearly 38 percent of the world’s gross domestic product. Experts note that TIIF 2026 ranks among the largest investment platforms in Central Asia’s history.
A total of 3,423 foreign delegates from 100 countries are attending the event in Tashkent. The overall number of participants surpassed 8,316, marking a new record in the forum’s history.
Over three days, Uzbekistan’s capital will transform into a global hub for capital, international commerce, and major investment decisions.
The forum is attended by executives from leading global financial companies, including BlackRock, JPMorgan Chase, Citibank, Visa, Franklin Templeton, Standard Chartered, Rothschild & Co, and the London Stock Exchange Group. It also includes representatives from the energy, technology, and industrial sectors, like Meta, BP, Masdar, ACWA Power, Airbus, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, DP World, and other multinational corporations.
The forum’s program features discussions on geology, critical raw materials, green energy, artificial intelligence, transport and logistics infrastructure, industrial cooperation, and the digital economy. Significant focus will be given to exploring new investment agreements with leading sovereign wealth funds from Gulf countries, Europe, and Asia.
TIIF 2026 is attracting significant attention from global media. A total of 209 international journalists from 41 countries are accredited to cover the event. Major media outlets including Bloomberg, Reuters, BBC News, Euronews, Nikkei, CGTN, and TRT are offering live coverage from Tashkent.
Experts suggest that the key deals and investment agreements to be signed during the forum will provide a strong boost to Uzbekistan’s economic growth.
