Silk Road educational platform to be established at Dongduk Women’s University
Dongduk Women’s University, located in Seoul, is developing cooperation with the countries of Central Asia, moving from traditional student exchanges to the creation of a joint educational platform.
Currently, 170 students from Uzbekistan are studying at the university. Plans call for gradually increasing their number to 500, followed by the creation of a broader academic structure.
Previously, internationalization meant admitting students. Now it involves the joint creation of an educational system.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to develop a dual-degree program with Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University and to establish an academic credit system with universities in Central Asia.

At the next stage, 100 students from Uzbekistan and 30 from Kazakhstan are expected to arrive. In the future, the project will be expanded to five Central Asian countries, as well as Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
In parallel, preparations are underway to establish an independent master’s-level academic structure based on the K-Silkroad program.
