Samarkand to host Eco Expo Central Asia 2026
The Eco Expo Central Asia 2026 will be held on June 2-4, 2026, at the Expo Center of the Silk Road Samarkand complex, as part of the Eighth Global Environment Facility Assembly. It will be among the region’s largest environmental events.
According to Bakhrom Kholkhujayev, Head of the Department for Forest Policy, Biodiversity, and Combating Desertification of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives from more than 100 countries will participate in the exhibition.
The Eco Expo Central Asia aims to strengthen environmental sustainability, promote the green economy, introduce innovative environmental technologies, and expand international cooperation in sustainable development and environmental protection.
In 2026, the exhibition will reach a new level. Around 10,000 local and foreign participants are expected to attend. More than 68 pavilions showcasing environmental products and services will be featured as part of the event.
In addition, 20 more pavilions will be organized featuring startup projects from Uzbekistan and Central Asian countries.
Special attention is being given to developing regional environmental projects. All regions and districts of the country have prepared specific project proposals focused on climate change adaptation, the rational use of natural resources, and environmental sustainability. These initiatives will be presented to international donors and investors.
The exhibition is also expected to include more than 50 side events, thematic forums, presentations, and dialogue platforms focused on green energy, waste recycling, water resource management, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.
