Public confidence in income growth is rising
The Consumer Sentiment Index shows that people continue to anticipate their future income will remain positive.
The Consumer Sentiment Index showed positive growth by the end of the first quarter this year.
Most citizens in Uzbekistan expect their incomes to rise soon, according to the Central Bank.
The income sub-index registered 72.8 points, up 0.3 points from the previous quarter and 1.5 points from the same period in 2025.
Experts link these positive changes to the gradual rise in the population’s real income, more employment opportunities, and higher remittance inflows from labor migrants.
Survey results show that 68% of respondents expect their income to rise in the future, while 25% believe it will stay the same. The percentage of citizens expecting a decline in income has decreased to 7%, marking one of the lowest levels seen in recent years.
The analysis shows that citizens earning over 20 million UZS monthly are the most optimistic about income growth. In this group, 77% expect their income to rise, a 5-percentage-point increase from the previous quarter.
The rising positive outlook on the economy among the population is a key signal of active consumer spending, a healthy business climate, and stable employment conditions.
