President reviews development projects
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation on construction projects in various fields.
The Head of State was presented with a project to install a majestic monument to the outstanding statesman, commander, and poet Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur as part of the architectural ensemble under construction in the city of Babur in Andijan region.
To immortalize the memory of our great ancestor and convey to the younger generation his rich scientific and literary heritage, ideas of statehood, and invaluable contribution to world civilization, special attention is being paid in the construction of this monument to giving it profound meaning and an artistic solution.
The President was presented with sketches of the future monument, its compositional solutions, and scientific and artistic approaches to depicting Babur. As noted, the image of the great historical figure is being shaped through an in-depth study of numerous historical sources, manuscripts, miniatures, and cultural heritage artifacts, as well as research results from domestic scholars in cooperation with foreign colleagues.
In addition, during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, one of Islamabad’s parks was named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. A project to install a monument to the great ancestor in this park was also reviewed.
The Head of State emphasized that, when creating the monuments, it is necessary to fully portray Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur not only as a great writer and poet but also as a talented commander, the founder of a powerful state, and a wise ruler. It was noted that his willpower, statesmanship, high spirituality, and creative ideas should be clearly reflected in the monument’s overall artistic appearance.
The President of the country was also provided with information on projects underway to improve the material and technical base of the Abu Rayhan Beruni International Boarding School, to develop tourism and transportation infrastructure in the city of Bukhara, and to modernize houses of culture in the districts.
The Head of State gave instructions to refine the projects and prepare them thoroughly in line with best practices.
