President of Uzbekistan arrives in Türkiye

The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, arrived in Ankara on a working visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Upon arrival at Etimesgut Airport, the President of Uzbekistan was welcomed by the Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz and other officials.

During his visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

Held under the theme “Turkic Century: Unity in Language, Thought and Action”, the summit will focus on strengthening multilateral cooperation in priority areas.

The summit is expected to conclude with the adoption of the Ankara Declaration and a package of agreements to expand practical cooperation within the Organization.
