New investment projects mark a major step forward for the pharmaceutical sector
New opportunities are emerging in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry to attract investment, localize production, and introduce advanced technologies. Expanding international cooperation supports further development of the domestic pharmaceutical sector.
Meetings and negotiations are underway at CPHI Milan 2026 to strengthen international ties and develop new forms of cooperation in Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry.
A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, is participating in the exhibition.
On the first day of the exhibition, meetings and negotiations with representatives of major international companies, including Merck, Lupin Healthcare, and Syngene, as well as other pharmaceutical market participants, took place.
On the Agency’s initiative, the Made in Uzbekistan national stand was organized at the exhibition. About 15 domestic pharmaceutical companies are presenting their products, manufacturing capabilities, and promising projects.
