Meeting of the Eurasian Civil Registrars Network held

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, jointly with the United Nations Population Fund, held a meeting of the Eurasian Civil Registrars Network in Ulaanbaatar.

At the meeting dedicated to analyzing best practices among Eurasian states, representatives of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan delivered a presentation titled “Prospects and directions for the development of civil registry offices in Uzbekistan”.

During the visit, the participants became familiar with civil registration processes at the central and maternity hospitals in Ulaanbaatar, as well as the activities of the General Authority for State Registration of Mongolia and the Civil Documents Archive.

Issues of civil registration and joint plans were discussed with the Network’s member states.
