Major projects implemented in Chust district
Major projects aimed at improving the region’s environmental conditions and economic development are being implemented in Chust district of Namangan region.
The initiative of Everbright Environmental Energy Namangan LLC, implemented jointly with Chinese partners, is one of the key projects. The total cost of the project is $141.5 million.
The project provides for the annual recycling of 547.5 thousand tons of household waste. As a result, 310 million kWh of electricity will be produced, of which 254 million kWh will be sent to the power grid. This will cover the annual electricity needs of 300,000 people. In addition, it is planned to provide 180 citizens with permanent jobs.
The cost of the project implemented by Eco Basalt LLC on the territory of the Namangan Free Economic Zone is $53.5 million. The project plans to produce 50,000 tons of basalt wool and cassette sandwich panels annually, creating 190 new jobs.
The construction of the Artisan Village is also actively continuing in the district, which plays a significant role in the development of handicrafts, supporting entrepreneurship, and creating new jobs.
