Leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed expanding practical cooperation
On June 4, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
The President of Uzbekistan warmly and sincerely congratulated the President and the brotherly people of the Kyrgyz Republic on the country’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2027-2028 term.
The Leader of Uzbekistan emphasized that this victory by Kyrgyzstan is clear evidence of the international community’s high recognition of the country’s active foreign policy and its significant contribution to regional stability and security.
Mutual readiness to continue close coordination and support for each other on international platforms was confirmed.
During the conversation, the heads of state noted with deep satisfaction the current high level of friendship, good-neighborliness, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during high-level meetings, primarily in the areas of economy, transportation, and energy, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The leaders also reviewed the schedule for upcoming high-level events.
