Joint venture established in Markhamat district
Friendly and mutually beneficial relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Belarus continue to develop steadily, and new projects are expanding bilateral cooperation.
The implementation of several projects in Andijan region, in cooperation with Belarusian regions, is providing strong impetus to interregional partnership.
As part of this cooperation, a factory of the well-known Belarusian knitwear manufacturer MARK FORMELLE has opened in Alitepa mahalla in Markhamat district.
The event underscored the importance of expanding trade and economic ties, promoting entrepreneurship, implementing joint projects in livestock farming and other promising sectors, and creating opportunities for citizens to secure stable, well-paying jobs.
The $4 million project will support processing local raw materials and producing finished goods, engage residents in modern manufacturing processes, provide stable, decent income, and contribute to light-industry development and the regional economy. The project is expected to create 200 jobs.
The enterprise plans to manufacture a wide range of finished knitwear products, most of which it will export.
