Javokhir Sindarov to fight against Rameshbabu

Bucharest hosts the Super Chess Classic Romania 2026.

The prize fund for the Grand Chess Tour is $ 475,000.

The Candidates Tournament winner, Uzbekistan’s Javokhir Sindarov, along with Fabiano Caruana and Wesley So from the United States, Anish Giri and Jorden van Foreest from the Netherlands, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa from India, Vincent Keymer from Germany, and Bogdan-Daniel (Romania), Alireza Firouzja, and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave from France, are also participating in the championships.

The matches in the first round ended in draws.  Javokhir Sindarov will play white against Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa in the second round today.

The tournament, consisting of nine rounds, will run until May 23.  The winner will receive $100 thousand.
